World Book Day quizPosted on: 13th Mar
This year we stretched World Book Day across four days. Teachers had been tagged with titles of books – attached to their ID badges - and students had to collect as many titles as possible. These titles became clues or answers in the quiz, which took inspiration from BBC TV’s Only Connect.
Eleven teams of students filled the library and competed noisily to work out the connections between the titles. For example: what connects All That Glitters, Picture Perfect, Model Misfit and Head Over Heels? (answers on a postcard…)
The determined efforts of the winners, The Carnegie Clan, paid off – they had collected the largest number of titles from the tagged teachers (and possibly introduced themselves to teachers they didn’t know in the process). Their reward, as well as the glory of winning, was chocolate. Well done.
