House Performing Arts 2018 – Simply Stunning – “Oh what a Night”!

Posted on: 16th Aug

As a Faculty we are incredibly proud of the performances from the House Performing Arts competition.

The Year 10 leaders did a fantastic job of producing such polished pieces, which really gave the judges a tough time deciding on a winner.

Aldworth kicked things off with the Abba classic ‘Mamma Mia’ which had us all singing along and the choreography was excellent; then Beechwood with ‘Footloose’ with an excellent and moving version of ‘Holding Out for a Hero’; Chiltern followed who looked super cute with ‘Trolls’ and although this House was small it was certainly mighty with a beautiful performance of ‘True Colours’. After the interval Lowbury transported us to Hawaii with the best visuals of the night: props and costume made the piece look spectacular combined with excellent vocals; Perborough took us to Africa with their captivating acapella version of the ‘Circle of Life’ and finally Ridgeway wowed us with their imaginative take on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The well-deserved winners were Perborough who ticked every box in terms of organisation, participation, choreography, singing and acting.
