The Downland Federation
1 April 2026: Summit Education Trust has grown from the Downland Federation, a long-standing and successful partnership between our schools. Over many years, this collaboration has enabled us to work closely together, share expertise and strengthen outcomes for our children and staff. The move to establish a formal trust is a natural next step, allowing us to build on that strong foundation with greater capacity, clarity and long-term stability.
History of The Downland Federation
At school, we have always believed in the power of collaboration and community. For many years, we were proud to be part of The Downland Federation; a family of schools working together under a unified governance structure. This alliance enabled us to pool our resources, share expertise, and offer a richer educational experience to all our students. By working together, we strengthened our community, ensuring that each child benefited from collective wisdom and a more seamless education. Together, we were stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to educate our students for the world of tomorrow.
We were proud to be federated with Compton CofE Primary, Beedon CofE Primary and Basildon CofE Primary School.
