Sixth Form Open Events 2026

Choosing where to study after GCSEs is an important decision, and the best way to get a feel for The Downs Sixth Form is to come and meet us.

Our autumn Open Events are an opportunity for students and families to explore the Sixth Form, meet our teachers and current students, discover the subjects and courses available and find out more about the support, enrichment and opportunities that make up Sixth Form life at The Downs.

Whether you are already a student at The Downs School or are considering joining us from another school, you are very welcome.

 

 

Sixth Form Open Evening
Thursday 12 November, 6.00–8.00pm
There is no need to register for our Open Evening. Come along to meet subject teachers, explore our facilities and talk to us about your plans for Sixth Form and beyond.

Sixth Form Open Mornings
Tuesday 17 November, 9.00am–12.00pm
Wednesday 2 December, 9.00am–12.00pm

Our Open Mornings give prospective students and their families the chance to see The Downs during a normal school day. Registration is required for Open Mornings.

Applications for September 2027

Sixth Form applications open on Thursday 12 November 2026 and closes Thursday, 7 January 2027.
