Geography

What is the curriculum trying to achieve?

The Geography curriculum aims to inspire pupils and grow a curiosityand fascination about the world and its people that will remain for life.

Geography should equip pupils with knowledge of their own area and diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the interactions between physical and human processes and the formation of landscapes. Geographical knowledge, understanding and skills provide the framework that explain how the Earth’s features at different scales are shaped, interconnected and change overtime.

How do we organise our learning?

Each of our subjects organises learning to achieve our federation vision of ‘Educating today’s students for the world of tomorrow: a seamless education from 4 to 19’.
