Physics

What is the curriculum trying to achieve?

The Science faculty’s vision for all learners encompasses breadth, depth and reach, to become creative and thoughtful citizens with a well-rounded worldview of the roles of science in society and how science will equip them for the future

We aim to develop passion and curiosity for learners at all levels through natural enquiry, leading to the skills of analysis, problem-solving and evaluation becoming second nature. Located in an area rich in science and innovation, we are motivated to drive and nurture ambition in our students, identifying and utilising the most beneficial opportunities afforded to them. Our curriculum continues to evolve and aims to ensure that all students make sustained progress on their learning journey.

How do we organise learning

Each of our subjects organises learning to achieve our federation vision of ‘Educating today’s students for the world of tomorrow: a seamless education from 4 to 19’.  Please click here to see a visual map of students’ planned ‘learning journey’ in physics across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
