The Downs School had one of its regular Governor visits this week, on this occasion it was for a faculty visit. Each school Governor works closely with a particular faculty in the school, e.g. English, Maths etc. and during this visit the Governors and Heads of faculty discussed a variety of topics including faculty progress, priorities and the curriculum.

The Downs School is proud of the wealth of business expertise it has available within its Governing body. It is the Governors role to ensure the clarity of the school vision, ethos and strategic direction, to hold the Headteacher to account for school and staff performance and to oversee the financial performance of the school.
