Posted on: 17th JunYear 10 Media Students had an excellent day at Elstree Studios this week, with a tour of the famous TV and Film studios. They got to work in the studio, sit in the Jurassic Park car and create their own film stills.
"Our Year 10 Media Studies students were absolutely inspired by their visit to Elstree Studios, seeing where some of the world’s biggest films and TV shows are made really brought their classroom learning to life." Mrs Goodhew, Head of Media.
Elstree Studios, in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, is one of the UK's most famous film and television production sites, dating back to the 1920s. It has been home to numerous legendary productions, including George Lucas’s original Star Wars trilogy, Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones films, and The Shining by Stanley Kubrick. More recently, Elstree has been the base for popular TV shows like The Crown, Strictly Come Dancing, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and Big Brother.
