Rushall Farm Trip for Geography Students

Posted on: 19th Jun

Our Year 10 Geography students embarked on a compulsory trip to Rushall Farm, expertly supported by the dedicated geography team and led by Mr Jones. This visit formed a vital part of their GCSE physical geography course, specifically preparing them for Paper 3.

At Rushall Farm, renowned for its commitment to environmental education and organic farming, the students focused their studies on the River Pang and examined how human activities impact its channel. Beyond the river itself, the students explored the organic farm, surrounding woodland, a pond, and an ancient chalk pit, allowing them to engage with a wide range of topics; food production and farming methods to habitats and river ecosystems. The experience also deepened their understanding of pressing environmental issues such as climate change, carbon footprints, sustainability, and diversification.

We are immensely grateful to the team at Rushall Farm for providing such a remarkable sanctuary and an outstanding setting for countryside education.  Rushall Farm
