Last week we were delighted to welcome so many families to our annual Open Evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to share what makes The Downs School such a special place to learn and work. There was a real sense of pride across the grounds throughout the evening.  Classrooms were alive with demonstrations, displays and conversations, and our students spoke with confidence about their subjects and school life.

Open Evening is always one of the highlights of our calendar. It allows us to show not only our strong academic results, but also the heart of our school community. What truly sets The Downs apart is the attitude of our staff and students. Their drive, curiosity and commitment to excellence are evident in everything they do. Teachers go above and beyond to help every student reach their potential, and our young people are interested in rising to every challenge.

We are proud to be a thriving, highly sought-after school that continues to grow from strength to strength. Families often tell us how friendly and welcoming the atmosphere feels, and we know that this warmth comes from the people within our community who care deeply about each other and about our shared success.

Thank you to all the students and staff who gave their time to make the evening such a success, and to the many visitors who came to see what life at The Downs School is really like. We are proud of our school and grateful to everyone who helps to make it such a special place.
