Our Jazz & Soul Night on 20 March was another reminder of just how much talent sits within our school. The standard of musicianship was exceptional. What stood out most, though, was the confidence and enjoyment in the room. These students weren’t just playing notes, they were performing, connecting with the audience and clearly loving every minute.

As the evening went on, the space relaxed into something really special. Parents and friends drifted onto the floor, and before long people were dancing, singing and properly enjoying themselves. It felt easy, warm and full of life, exactly what a school community should be.

Our thanks go to all of our musicians for the time and commitment they put into evenings like this. It does not happen by accident. And a very special thank you to the irrepressible Miss Brennecke, who once again brought her trademark energy and passion, and made the whole evening feel effortless.

Another excellent creative arts night, and one we will remember for a long time.
