Year 13 Leavers' Day May 2026

Posted on: 19th May 2026

Our Year 13 students enjoyed a brilliant Leavers’ Day this week, with plenty of laughter, good memories and a few emotional moments throughout the day; many of our students have been with us since they arrived in Year 7.

As always, the costumes did not disappoint, with students arriving in all sorts of creative outfits that kept staff entertained throughout the morning. The day gave everyone the chance to spend time together properly before study leave.

One of the most special parts of the day was hearing from our Head Students; Freya M and Sophia B, whose speeches struck just the right balance between heartfelt thanks and stories that had the whole room laughing. Students also watched the traditional childhood photographs, looking back at themselves from their earliest school days, which is always a lovely moment for everyone.

There was also plenty of fun throughout the morning, including a few rounds of TaskMaster-style challenges and a bubblegum competition which became surprisingly competitive very quickly (Good work Mrs Keevill!)

Mr Prosser, Headteacher, finished the event with a farewell speech reflecting on the contribution this year group has made to the school over the years and wishing them every success for the future.

Thank you to our wonderful Y13 tutors for their efforts over the last two years - but also in dressing up for Leavers' Day! We all loved their particularly creative speeches.

Thank you to Mrs Jarrett worked hard on the slideshow of photos and Ms Anderson and Mrs Suggitt behind the scenes with the logistics for the day.

Thank you to Mrs Keevill for hosting such a warm and enjoyable event for our Year 13 students. We are very proud of this year group and look forward to seeing where life takes them next.
