Back to News ListThe 2026 Colour Run Fundraiser
Posted on: 22nd May 2026Our annual Colour Run returned this week and, as always, it was absolute chaos in the best possible way.
After a lively warm-up led by Mrs Miller Cook and Mr Prosser, students gathered in year groups ready to set off, with Year 7 bravely taking on the first wave of colour. Within minutes, the field was covered in clouds of powder paint, laughter and students trying very hard to avoid staff armed with handfuls of colour powder. Of course, the students gave as good as they got, and staff did not stay clean for long either.
The Colour Run has become one of those events everyone looks forward to each year. It is great fun, raises money for the school and gives students and staff the chance to simply enjoy being together outside the classroom.
A huge thank you to all the staff who helped organise the event, especially the omnipresent Miss Brophy, who somehow seemed to be absolutely everywhere at once throughout the afternoon.
Thank you as well to the staff helping with waivers and safety, the Catering team for snacks and refreshments, Mr Dunne for brilliantly MC’ing the event, Mrs Bennett for taking the photos and our wonderful Site team, who were left with the colourful task of cleaning everything up afterwards.
Most importantly, thank you to all the students for throwing themselves into the event with such enthusiasm and good humour. There were lots of laughs, some very colourful faces and plenty of memories made once again.
THANK YOUs
Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported students with donations for this event. Every contribution goes into our school fundraising pot and helps support the many extra costs that sit outside normal school budgets.
This can include things such as goalposts, special trips and visits, minibus fuel, stage lighting, improvements to toilet areas, extra books, maintenance work and additional classroom resources. The list is endless at times, but we work hard to make sure every pound is spent carefully and wisely to benefit our students.
