Rising Year 7s Open Morning

Posted on: 3rd Jun

Our Small Schools Open Day took place at the end of last term, where we invite Rising Year 7s students -   from the smaller primary schools in the area - and their parents along for an introduction to the school.

Our Current Year 7s conducted tours of the school, visiting four different lessons. The attendees had a welcome from Headteacher Mr Prosser, and were then given an overview of the school from an explanation of the house system to discussing school uniform, lesson structure and school lunches.

Parents said they were really impressed with the event. One commented: “Today was very useful and reassuring, especially for me as a parent. I am confident I have made the right choice for my child.” Another added: “I was really impressed. I can’t wait to see how the transition is going to be. You have done an amazing job reassuring parents.”

Our traditional feeder schools have already been visited by our school transition team and we look forward to welcoming all our new Year 7 students in September.
