Cakes, sweets and ‘Splat the teacher!’

Posted on: 2nd Jul

Alongside yesterday’s ‘Brave the Shave’ event, there were many other students involved in raising money for their House charities across break and lunchtime, with stalls selling sweets, homemade cakes, a chocolate tombola stall and ‘spin the wheel’ confectionary game all set up in the central courtyard and field.

Meanwhile on the field a ‘splat the teacher’ game had been set up, with staff including Headteacher, Mr Prosser, Head of Sixth Form, Mr Hogan, Head of Year 9 Miss Bermingham and Maths teacher Mr Gunputhram braving volunteering to have wet sponges thrown at them by students. For a donation of 50 pence, students could load up three sponges with water and aim them at the teacher of their choice. There was a long list of students waiting to take part and the teachers all took it in good spirits!
